If your doctor has predicted an average-sized baby, you'll be fine with the NB sizes. The 0-3 can run a little big depending on who makes them, but you'll find they work great a couple of weeks later. We have some "Just Born" sized onesies that were too hard to get over our daughter's head. I think they're Gerber. Congrats and good luck!

my daughter needed preemie or NB at birth but we brought a 0-3mo to the hospital. She swam in it, we had to go buy her smaller clothes after we left the hospital because everyone told us 0-3 would be fine. Good Luck!!

My daughter was 7 lbs 6 oz, 19 inches and she wore the newborn stuff for maybe a week or two. It's much more practical to get the 0-3 month stuff. We brought a newborn outfit and a 0-3 month outfit to the hospital but she basically spent the entire time in onesies because they are swaddled the entire time that it really doesn't make sense to dress them until you are leaving the hospital.

My baby was 6 lbs 8 oz and 49 cm at birth. We had a cute little outfit from Please Mum in size NB. It was way too huge for her though. She would have fit much better in a preemie outfit. She wore the NB onesie from the set until she was 3 months old. The NB jacket that came with the set she could still wear at 6 months old.

Take a 0-3. It'll probably be a little big on the baby, but better loose than too small.

My daughter was born 7 lbs. 15 oz & 19" long. She was able to wear the NB size for only a few weeks, then we switched to the 0-3 size.

Take both sizes with you to the hopsital, you never know what size your baby will be even if the Dr. estimates, they are not always right on with the weight.

Also, name brand clothing tends to run larger and longer than the cheaper brands. My daughter is 6.5 months old and can still fit in some of her 3 month Carter onesies! But she is wearing 6-9 month in off brands. Once your baby gets here you'll get the hang of it and then you can go more by what size the clothes LOOK like rather than what the tag says. Good luck :)

I would either have them set a price or look elsewhere...otherwise if you offer too low it could cause drama in the family and if you offer too high you might regret it later and feel taken advantage of, thus causing drama.
